It’s not that I’m planning to be off grid. But I really like the idea of being self-sufficient. This 20KW solar array will let my family be electrically self-sufficient. It goes live this week.
I'm not so much living in the Mac World but really visiting. I'm a PC guy through and through. Not out of any particular love of the PC but because historically that's where the best tech was. Sure, if you're a Mac user, you tend to get hung up on style over substance -- in my opinion. I was an OS/2 user from 1992 to 1999 and there's no way you'd ever convince me that System 7 through OS 9 was as good as OS/2 was. From 2000 on, I've been a Windows 2000/XP/Vista/7 user. Windows isn't elegant....

I come home, hoping my new book “ One Second After ” has come in. My wife says, nope, no deliveries. I jump onto Amazon to look for my package. It says it arrived today and was on my porch. So I run to the front door, open the door and there it is, on the porch. See, the Internet has the answer for everything!
