Just some pretties for people who visit my home page…
PHC Frigates To enforce the PHC charter, several prominent Post-Humans formed the “PHC Weapons consortium” in which they pooled their collective ideas into producing weaponized constructs. The first results from this cooperative effort came in the form of what the PHC now classifies as “frigates”. These early militarized constructs lack both the lethality and refinement of their more advanced cousins now classified as “Cruisers”. For the first two ye...
This year marks the 25th anniversary of our spectacular product, Ozone-away.
He is referring to “GamerGate”. Now, full disclosure, as a game developer, I don’t even consider it possible to be part of GamerGate. Historically, the games media was there to protect consumers from evil, greedy bastards like me. But at some point in the past few years, some of them decided they really didn’t like gamers. I find it odd. It’s like a sports reporter not liking the fans of the sport he reports on. Finding this situation odd makes me “part of ...
Recently game designer Damion Schubert wrote a blog criticizing some recent reporting by Breibart regarding how sloppy reporting had hurt my career . In his criticism, Damion had used a hit piece Kotaku had published on me as evidence that the reporting done on me had been reasonable. Sure, if you're a Mac user, you tend to get hung up on style over substance -- in my opinion. I was an OS/2 user from 1992 to 1999 and there's no way you'd ever convince me that System 7 through OS 9 was as good as OS/2 was. From 2000 on, I've been a Windows 2000/XP/Vista/7 user. Windows isn't elegant....
Putting together a fantasy book for mass production is definitely no small task. There’s a lot of people involved. But it’s almost done.
I’m having a lot of fun with the Elemental beta. I have a feeling the ability to design your own heroes is going to be a pretty popular feature.
My 9 year old loves to design games.
Here’s a very very very primitive video that a year from now we can go back and laugh at how weak this stuff was back in the day.
