DeskScapes provides animated wallpaper for all users of Windows Vista.

Animated wallpaper isn't just for Windows Vista Ultimate users anymore.  With the release of beta 1 of DeskScapes 2.0 on Object Desktop, all users of Vista can use the hundreds of available .DREAM files here on WinCustomize as their animated backgrounds.

Object Desktop users also get some exclusive animated wallpaper content including four dynamic dreams (Water Dream, Earth Dream, Water Color, and Box Sample).

If you don't have Object Desktop, you can get it here.

Yippe!!! I can finally test out my Dream!

A few questions...
Is this the enhanced version? If so, where's the enhancements.
What's the "use internal player" check box for?
Lastly, I bought Liquid Dream ...now you are giving it away as "Water Dream".
Why would you give away a previously sold Master Dream and make the people who bought it feel ripped off?

It is the enhanced version.

The enhanced version adds:

1) Premium content included (Earth Dream, Water Dream, and one other we are still working on)

2) No nag screens <g>

3) We will probably take out the video performance options in the free version.

Water Dream != Liquid Dream.   Liquid Dream has a lot more options.

Internal player option is for Windows Ultimate users who have Windows DreamScene. You can use DeskScapes (internal) or use the DreamScene player.  Ours is faster.

Very cool.
Interestingly, using Vista Business, I can play all the dynamic dreams but only about half os the video dreams.  The other half throws a codec error.

I'll have to start digging around for the right codecs.

Stupid Vista Business!

I have Windows Vista Business, my Stardock Central is up to date as is my Object Desktop subscription...but, where do I find the download? (

You should see them in the ODNT section.  Try switching servers and refreshing the XML in Tools | Settings | Internet

What does that have to do with DeskScapes? Non-ultimate users are going to have to either pay for Object Desktop or DeskScapes.

Liquid Dream has a lot more options.

In my opinion, there's not enough to justify the price...you should drop it to $4.95 if the final version is the same as this Water Dream.

When I heard there was going to be enhancements I was hoping to see the ability to change the video speed or choose the playing point of the video for large ones like movies but those options are yet to be seen. Do you think these might make it into a future version?

Hmmmmm, I'll pass.

It's 7:51pm, pitch black out, yet the Desktop Earth dream is still saying that it's light out here?

Edit, had to reload the dream. Shouldn't it be doing this automagically?

Desktop Earth dream = 3% CPU usage in dwm

You should have lights on on the east coast of the US.
