DeskScapes provides animated wallpaper for all users of Windows Vista.

Animated wallpaper isn't just for Windows Vista Ultimate users anymore.  With the release of beta 1 of DeskScapes 2.0 on Object Desktop, all users of Vista can use the hundreds of available .DREAM files here on WinCustomize as their animated backgrounds.

Object Desktop users also get some exclusive animated wallpaper content including four dynamic dreams (Water Dream, Earth Dream, Water Color, and Box Sample).

If you don't have Object Desktop, you can get it here.

Ok after switch to server US-2 and updating the xml several times here's what I got:

Free Image Hosting at www.ImageShack.us

Which I find quite strange since I have Deskscapes installed already????

Any Ideas?

1.90[b].023 IS the beta of 2.0.  It will not show as 2.0 until it is out of beta.
on Jan 17, 2008

The only version I can see in SDC is 1.90[b].023, which is the one I have installed. I tried changing the server and refreshing the XML on both servers(US-1 and US-2), yet I do not get the new v2.0 beta listed.

I have the same thing, I was able to install 1.90[b].023

but yet no 2.0?

Any Ideas?

Same thing here, refreshed XML, changed servers, but no version 2.0? just showing version 1.90(.023. why is this ?

That's how Stardock usually does it's version numbering. Any .9x is actually a beta of the next version. So version 1.95 is a beta of version 2.

Getting loads of driver crashes in Vista Enterprise.

nVidia Driver 7.15.11.134 for a 8600M GT (it's a MacBook Pro).

Apple haven't updated the driver since Leopard's launch so can't do much there.

Usually happens after maximising an application or after UAC has taken over the screen.

Do I need to have DesktopX installed on my system to use this?

No, this has nothing to do with DesktopX.

I have just installed this and I think its great !
Although sometimes my screen freezes and I get a "Display drivr stopped responding and has recovered" error and sometimes my notebook just goes black and freezes altogether.

Any ideas why this is happening !?

YAY! I'm *so* glad I didn't waste the money on upgrading to Vista Ultimate!

Posting your system specs might help.  Video card, OS version, etc
