Each year, like most companies, Stardock puts together an internal business plan that sets up goals, objectives, and challenges that the company must address. Part of our internal business plan includes analysis of the state of the products/services we make as well as the results of our customer survey. Last year, we made this report available to the public and based on the positive response we got for doing so, we’re doing the same again this year. View: St...
The February 2010 issue of PC Gamer lists the Top 10 games of 2010. And guess which game made the list? That’s right’s Starcraft II. But there’s one other strategy game on there – a turn based strategy game at that: ELEMENTAL along with an exclusive screenshot. Here’s a little teaser (not the same shot but similar):

Starting next week we will begin exploring the world of Elemental in the Journals section!
Players of Elemental: War of Magic will begin getting the full background of the lore of the game.
We are pleased to announce that Elemental: War of Magic – BETA is now available. To those who have pre-ordered the game and would like to subject themselves to misery, agony, famine, and grief, you may voluntarily take part in the buggy, unfun, imbalanced, flakey, psychologically damaging beta. Here are two helpful links: Beta Tester Info Beta 2 Tour Be aware that Beta 2 is not representative of what the final game will be like. We do, however, invite be...
The deadline to get into Elemental Beta 1 ends October 1st. But lest you think this is a call to join the beta, let me warn you, the beta is a land of horror and agony. Even now, most of the beta testers are requiring long-term psychiatric care to continue functioning. But if you are a true masochist, you can pre-order now and get into the beta as we are putting together the game mechanics and help mold the final game.
Strategy Informer has an article regarding why Stardock is giving Fallen Enchantress away for free to early War of Magic adopters. Read the whole thing here: http://www.strategyinformer.com/news/17332/stardock-giving-away-new-game-for-free---we-feel-we-owe-our-audience
This week we met with the press and one of the topics that kept coming up over and over was just how much better Elemental: Fallen Enchantress looked and played versus 2010’s first attempt at a fantasy strategy game, Elemental: War of Magic. This begged the question – why would Stardock tie Fallen Enchantress to Elemental: War of Magic which was a pretty mediocre game. This article on Gamasutra goes into some depth as to why we are pursuing this strategy. Gamasutra: ...
As some of you may recall, when Elemental: War of Magic was released in 2010, no one was more vocal or more specific in the shortcomings of that title than QT3's Tom Chick. Stardock took the criticism of that game to heart when it "reimagined" a TBS fantasy strategy game that ultimately manifested itself as Elemental: Fallen Enchantress. From the quick impressions: Stardock has really outdone themselves this time. If you like turn-based strategy games, if you like fantasy, even...

You can get to it here: http://fallenenchantress.nexusmods.com/ As a reminder: Save a backup of your \english directory (it’s the <game>\data\english directory) before getting too crazy with mods Make sure you turn on “use mods” in the options screen Have fun! I’ve alre...
