If you have Object Desktop (www.objectdesktop.com) you can download and try out the first alpha build of DesktopX 2. DesktopX is a program that lets you design your own Windows desktop. One of the highlights of DesktopX 2 is its ability to automatically inherit your existing desktop (the icons on it) and add all kinds of visual effects to them (shadows under icons, desktop icons that are any size, icons that smoothly animate to a bigger size when you put your mouse over them, sound ef...

Yes: 75% No: 25% Which is quite surprising. This begs the question, has the time come to start delivering software on DVD rather than multiple CDs?
Talk about politically incorrect polls. Sheesh. But we asked and over 1,400 people answered. What religion. Christians make up 55% But agnostic/atheists make up 27%. Islam: 7% Jewish: 3% Other: 12%
This site tends to favor Stardock's software so it's no surprise that ObjectDock carried the day as the favorite Windows dock program. But the same poll on deviantART had similar results. Tom's Hardware looks at Intel's new Pentium IV which features hyperthreading and how it may affect PC games. Stardock's own Galactic Civilizations, due out early next year, makes heavy use of multithreading and gains a great deal on the new Pentium IV. GalCiv along with other games are discussed at length in the article. Check it out: http://www.tomshardware.com/game/20021228/index.html
