Brad...to be fair that's always been the issue over generations of graphic art.  Once upon a time portraits were painted and the documenting of the human image was rare and special ...then along came cameras...

Illumination replaced by type-setting ..etc.

'simple' computer art [PS...PSP] is a different/easier animal than actually doing it in RL.

As things evolve you just have to evolve first/better to still stand out in the crowd...

And one day the A.I wonders the point of humans when they do everything.

I for one am completely on board with this.  The Korath and Altarian mix looks terrifying and awesome.  I think it deserves a full race with some menacing looking ship components.

If there is an eventual blending of populations on planets, allowing for cross-breeding in races, there's great potential for future AI-generated leaders and how that could affect variations from game to game.

On another note regarding AI:  I look forward to playing a game against Joshua.
