If you use the Greenland ice core samples you get a long term temperature map.

First, I think you're posting this in the wrong account.  I specifically stopped visiting the "opinionated techie" blog because of these types of articles, but I still visited "Skinning the Frog" because it was about games and "My site for talking about the customization of Windows."

Second, the temperature data for europe in the middle ages disagrees with temperature data from other parts of the globe, suggesting that it was a local phenomena.  This means the Greenland ice samples, alone, should be taken with a grain of salt.

Third, if you show longer periods of time (on the order of 500,000 years, instead of 4,000 years) you can see that temperatures do go up and down on the planet.  For the last 10,000 years or so, we've been on a peak temperature - hotter than any time in the last 120,000 years.  Global warming advocates don't claim that human-produced carbon dioxide is the sole factor involved in global warming, but rather, it's a major factor that is launching the earth to even hotter temperatures than would occur naturally, and to higher temperatures than anything the planet has seen in a very long time.  It's a little bit like sitting inside on a hot summer day with the windows closed, and turning on the electric heater.  Yeah, the space heater isn't the sole source of heat inside your home, and the external temperature does vary, but it doesn't mean you can deny the effects of your space heater on the inside temperature.

There's no commentary here. It's just what the Greenland ice core shows.

Second, yea, I didn't have Opinionated Techie set up on live writer on that machine but it is now.

What was a 'local phenomena'[sic]?  The MWP or Greenland's temp curve?  Europe & Greenland are sufficiently separated geographically to be 'other parts of the globe' with respect to each other.

Even perceived blasphemy will not be tolerated by the Church of Climate Change and the Holy Father of CO2 and the Internet, Al Gore.

It’s not just a graph it has notations therefore it is commentary.

So here’s two videos that comment on the notations.

Gotta love it, as a human being you have the option to avoid the article all together but instead chose to not only comment about the content but also take a shot at the writer for using the "wrong" account. Don't people like you have anything better to do then to pretend to be police in blogs and stuff? Nothing funnier than listening to someone complaining about their own dumb choices.

Stubby, I am surprised at you.  Using propaganda to refute facts?  it appears that the religification (hat tip to Nitro Cruiser) of AGW is running full speed ahead.

Instead of swallowing the kool aid without thinking, how about doing some research on the MWP and LIA.  Or read from those who already did:

http://www.theresilientearth.com/?q=content/medieval-warm-period-rediscovered

http://www.co2science.org/index.php

http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=de&sl=de&tl=en&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.science-skeptical.de%2Fblog%2Fbeispiellose-erwarmung-oder-beispiellose-datenmanipulation%2F001195%2F

The last one is a translation (if you want to read it in the native German, it is available - just delete the google stuff in the URL).  Note that while the google translator is very good, it is not perfect, so when in doubt, mouse over text and read it in the native language.  For Example:

"McIntyre showed not only that man had used  an algorithm " in the native: "McIntyre zeigte nicht nur, dass Mann einen Algorithmus benutzt hatte" is better translated to be: "Mcintyre showed that not only, that Mann had used an algorithm....."

So it will take a little work regardless of your effort.

Oh, Stubby, I did forget one of the most interesting links (although not directly related to your PR).  Check this one out on more ammunition for climate-gate:

http://chiefio.wordpress.com/2009/08/17/thermometer-years-by-latitude-warm-globe/

You know, I always wondered why my mother's thermometer in Florida was registering higher than mine.  Must be AGW.

Video 1 - Climate Change is Real.  Duh.

Video 2 - Lots of slippery avoidance re: hockey.  No evidence supporting AGW.
