For those of you who are interested in the latest greatest video cards, ATI is about to release the Radeon 8500 that is effectively as fast or slightly faster than the GeForce 3. But Nvidia hasn't been standing still either. Oooh it's exciting!

i jsut bought a raddeon sdr for 100 this weekend...its great...too bad my computer is a piece. i ran the 3dmark2001 from madonion.com and it said for my processor speed, only yhte geforce3 and the radeon ddr give higher results. go ati! btw, i'm on a pII 400.

Yeah can't wait to see in-depth benchmarks and to see if it's an O/C card... Pretty interesting

It is also interesting to note that the Kyro II chipset that comes with Hercules 3D Prophet 4500 (about $150) is rather competative).

Only until nVidia releases their Detenator4 (20.xx) drivers later this week. I am glad there's competition to keep the cards fast and price down somewhat.

ATI has always made garbage, i wouldn't waist my time with their products. nVidia is really the only way to go.
