A guide to DesktopX widget tweaking
Published on November 9, 2004 By Frogboy In OS Customization
I've written up a quick tutorial on how easy it is to edit existing DesktopX widgets. It also hopefully sheds light on the whole widget/object thing.

If we think of DesktopX being like Microsoft word, then widgets are like Acrobat docs (PDF). You can (assuming you have Acrobat) export your MS Word documents as PDF files so taht anyone who has Acrobat reader on can just use them without having any word processor on.

But if you load up MS word, you can load up .DOC files and read and use them just fine (think of .DOC files being like DeskotpX objects, that's DesktopX's "native" format).
