A close race
Published on October 19, 2004 By Frogboy In Politics

We took a poll of WinCustomize.com users on whether they prefer Bush or Kerry to be President of the United States. Very interesting results and we thank the 1700 or so people who participated in this unscientific poll.

Of Americans who responded:

50.2% prefer Bush
49.8% prefer Kerry

But of those who are not American:
21% prefer Bush
79% prefer Kerry

Suffice to say, Americans are split on the issue but international users are pretty firm in their viewpoint.

In the words of the new John Kerry commercial "I will not allow any other country to have veto power over our security" (or something like that) so for once (well twice if you count the time he voted for the Iraq war) with John Kerry and not let them decide this that could end up effecting our national security.
Have a nice day,

I guess that just shows you how confused the "old world" is. The U.S. is the world's only superpower because we got it right, not the so-called "rest of the world." If the "rest of the world" were so astute, then why our dominating superiority? Simple, the rest of the world doesn't get it right, hasn't gotten it, and flails in their own lack of comprehension. Lots of countries do "get it." Clearly France has NEVER gotten it, bending over for every invading country for the past 100 years. Some countries that do get it: Bosnia, Taiwan, most of South America, England, Spain, and Australia.

Maybe the rest of the world feels Bush policies are bad for them - they certainly are entitled to letting us know...

America was a superpower long before Dubyah was in office, but if we continue to put the whole world against us, we may not remain a super power much longer. Throughout history that has been the price for believing the country to be invincible, see Napoleonic France.

South America gets it? They have some of the worst criminal government in the world that run on kickbacks, fraud, and help their people only as far as helping themselves to their country's wealth.

They certainly are entitled to let us know, and we are *just* as entitled to ignore them if we so choose.
