Turned off firewall and nothing is downloading.
Still can't log-in on XP or Vista.

Impulse reports that my serial # for my Object Desktop subscription is invalid. The serial # on the registration screen is correct and Impulse allows me to download and install the components of Object Desktop but that line on the reg screen is highlighted in red and has "Invalid" in the expiration date column.

Puzzling.

I got that too, but then I noticed right below it, that I now have a subscription for Object Desktop ULTIMATE with the same serial...

I wish for item not sure if it's already been mentioned in post but, in Registrations, currently does not include all Stardock/WC purchases. Master Themes in particular don't show up as well as some Stardock Design themes I've purchased. Would like a comprehensive list. Thanks guys it's looking and working great.

Hey BigDogBidFeet, all though those don't show up in the registrations tabe of Impulse they are still listed under the setting tab and registrations from the WC home page. At first I thought they were gone also.

Anyone running Windows Vista Home Premium, that can help me with what settings and which applications, firewalls, etc., you had to turn off (or on) to install and use this?

Also, does being on satalite have anything to do with it?

My "Network Access" says it's Local and Internet. Do I need to configure a "Network" to use this?
I'm sure, if I can just get past the Log-in, I'll be fine, it's getting there that's the battle.

Any help, would be appreciated.

I was still having problems with an invalid ObjectDock Plus registration till i fixed it by having support e-mail all my reg. codes.
Wonder why they were different?

Z71  check the logs located at C:\ProgramData\Stardock\Impulse\Temporary and see if anything looks out of place

And what about Archiving ...

And equally, if not more important, what about restoring archives ... don't see that option anywhere ...

well, except for SDC ... hehe

The folder is there. It has other folder (with stuff) in them. Nothing looks out of place, but then again, not sure what to look for.

Makes no difference. When you're on the net....you're on the net.

You're installing this as Administrator...correct?

No errors in the logs?

I may have some help for some of you who are having problems downloading or who need to reinstall. This is what finally worked for me. To do a clean install, I used Revo Uninstaller at the highest search level to remove all traces of Impulse from the registry. Be aware that it may false positive on a couple of Cursor FX files it thinks belong to Impulse. Make sure you check each thing it wants to remove. The number files do seem to belong to Impulse. After uninstalling, reboot. Not necessary usually but since Revo thinks this program is a system component, it may tie into the system in some manner that makes reboot advisable. Reinstall. It should work now. To get it to update correctly, I also had to uninstall ObjectZip because it was generating an error while trying to decompress until I archived ObjectZip. I have some tentative evidence it may also not be able to download and install some things correctly if you are running Zone Alarm's new beta of ForceField. If you are running ForceField, you do not need to uninstall it. Just disable it from your taskbar before downloading. Note that it will close your browser windows to turn itself off.

Everything now working. Downloads still much slower than SDC.

Yes.
No errors in the logs?

There was a lot of errors all saying the same thing. "Error parsing the XML from the webservice" & "Server not responding, please check your internet connection".
Deleted the log, still the messages.

Also, did the "Revo Uninstaller" 4 times. No success. Don't have Object Zip or Zone Alarm.
