Gamespot is running a preview of Galactic Civilizations II which is due to come out at the end of this month.

Why are we mentioning this? Because GalCiv II is what me, T-man, MikeB, Mormegil, and many others have been working on feverishly these past few months.  It's about to hit stores world wide. Then you can expect us to be back more active here on WinCustomize.

A couple interesting notes on the game:

So check out the preview and here are some screenshots to give you an idea of what the game is like.  It's a turn-based strategy game set in the 23rd century.

Ok I am very intrigued about how the user interface was created using DesktopX. What part of the UI and is there a chance there could be a write up on it? As a developer I would love to experiment more, sort of need a direction. Game screenshots look terrific!!

I don't know...that review makes it sound real, umm, "challenging." Too challenging for me, probably. Maybe I should just dig up my old copy of "Pax Imperia: Eminent Domain" out of storage and see if it can run on Windows XP?

WONDERFUL!

Now WHEN can we expect Icon Packager to be fixed so that the icons don't "shuffle" around every time you save the package????!!! I don't know how anyone can upload an IP in the state the software is in. This is getting quite frustrating.
