No, the in-app purchases are optional.

No, you don't. You can tap anywhere on the screen and it'll move past the upsell.

just popped it on the ipad... given i've spent 7 hours in hospital waiting rooms today... could have done with it this morning... 

after a little dabble...I must say, it looks absolutely terrific... look forward to having a play later...

The iOS game is quite fun, but I have to say that if you have people to play with, the physical card game is even better.

Interesting is it possible to run ios apps on android platform, like run windows software in linux?

I don't think so.  iOS is a proprietary operating system in competition with the relatively open Android operating system setup - besides Linux is more adaptable with Windows users than Apple is adaptable with Android (read: Google Android OS phone/tablet) users.
