For those of you who have bought Elemental: Destiny’s Embers, we’re working on some new DLC for Fallen Enchantress just for people who have the book.

Up in the Henge is the fortress city of “Outpost”.

Exploring the caves

If you ever wanted to see what it would be to go on the adventure that Xander, Geni and friends went on, you’ll be able to see it. Ambrose, Mirdoth, Tandis, Nym and the rest will be there.

(in these screenshots I’m using Relias to travel the map)

Thanks Brad.  It was funny when I was pulling down 1.1, I saw the download for the E:WOM content, and wondered if anything would come of it.  Can't thank you guys enough for the support.

Suggestion: throw some of the chars into the sandbox game as extra heroes.

They did that for the EWOM version of this stuff, though sadly none of the characters already present treated them as something unusual.

Question: Is this DLC campaign going to be of similar nature in mechanic compared to the intro campaign?

I'll try to dig up the thread that had my unfortunate misgivngs about that campaign...

 EDIT: Here it is...

Nym is the shit.  I love that guy.  I can't wait to see what a bad ass he will be.  In the first game he dual wielded and attacked super fast, had like 10 attacks a turn, but the combat was a lot different in that game.  He was my favorite character in the book.

Awesome! Can't wait!

Not really. I'm doing this scenario myself.  Jon Shafer did the campaign for FE.  So my scenario will have a different set of misgivings.

But I'll say it straight out, this scenario will have no city building in it. No research. No tech trees. No unit training. You gather units by hiring them, finding them or winning them over. You get spells by finding them, winning them, etc.  Your champion's path will be "Path of Destiny" (not earth, air, water, etc.).   I'm just using FE as the engine.

Honestly, that sounds even better. It'll be great to see something so completely different from what we have so far.

Why isn't dual wielding in the base game then?  I've seen a bunch of folks ask for it.

on Dec 18, 2012

Only Nym gets to dual wield!

Well, he really didn't dual wield truly,  he had an off hand dagger that added to his attack and defense rating(I think).  So , it wasn't true dual wielding  but it was pretty cool anyway.

How hard would it be to a put proper dual wielding system in?  It's something I would want for the expansion.
