Brad Wardell's site for talking about the customization of Windows.

Ultimate_LogoThe Milky Way Galaxy of the 23rd century is a brutal place.

The malevolent Drengin Empire and their allies, the Yor reign supreme.  Earth and its allies have been defeated and in most cases, occupied by Drengin shock troops.  Earth itself remains free, protected behind an energy shield put in place by DL Bradley, commander of the Terran fleet just before they vanished.  Though protected, it is surrounded by an armada of Drengin ships.

The ancient Precursors are gone forever. There will be no help from the benevolent Arnor.

And this, my friends, is where things were left off at the end of the best-selling, critically acclaimed PC Strategy game, Galactic Civilizations II: Ultimate Edition.  But it isn’t the end. That’s all I can say on that for awhile.

Plz keep it turn-based.  Perhaps, more races to choose from thereby more techs.  I am confident Brad and co will do a great job.

Gal civ 2 is the game that made me discover Stardock. It was a well made strategy game well thought out and very well balanced. I love the AI

I can't wait and see what happens when the third installment comes around.

2015 maybe?

New GalCiv? Yay!

Please include multiplayer!

Wow! Excellent news.

Please, add tactical fleet battles for GC3. Maybe you can take the old Star Wars Rebellion as an example.

 Thanks for your work.

Galactic Civilizations is near and dear to my heart.

I haven't been able to return to it as soon as I'd like because Stardock got so big after its release that I got spread between a bunch of projects.

Now that Impulse is sold off, I have more time to spend on the games unit again.

Just adding my voice to chorus cheering for GalCiv3.

I was actually on my VM with Windows 8 the other day, and considering that the Windows Runtime model is all about immersive experiences... I got a really nice mental image of being able to tap on an object, and see something similar to the context sensitive radial menu in OneNote for the 'right click' options. Anyway, not yet the time in the market to talk about that, but here's hoping for next year...

A new GalCiv would be awesome and I really can't wait for it

We all know this game will work only if you listen to the suggestions of your fanbase and incorporate their ideas into the game.

By which I mean primarily me and my ideas but don't tell anyone.

This sounds very promising. GALCIV 3, yeah! With even bigger resources than before I presume. This would be an awesome game!

this little bit of hope has kept me looking here, hoping there may be new information, anything else you can hint at??

I'm late here but if this is true... I'll cut off an arm and leg for a Gal Civs III. Really... I will do it.

Belatedly, you make it Frogboy, and I will buy it.

Thinking about the release of Fallen Enchantress, and the huge amount of moddability there - hmm I don't like the colours on that robe, wait, I can change the colours of that robe without doing a retexture, yes awesome!

This scope of moddability is something that we're definitely going to want to see in future games.  It extends the lifetime of the game immeasurably to be able to fight with units that you have lovingly customised.  I finally get why people like painting figures for tabletop games.

I'm not sure what is in store for the future but I like the idea of characters that you see again in future games.  Champions are great.  Going on quests, even better.  Will these things translate well to a space opera 4X game?  No clue, but I would be very surprised if someone doesn't write a quest for FE that plays like an episode of Babylon 5.
