Time is running out
Published on September 28, 2009 By Frogboy In Elemental News

The deadline to get into Elemental Beta 1 ends October 1st.

But lest you think this is a call to join the beta, let me warn you, the beta is a land of horror and agony.  Even now, most of the beta testers are requiring long-term psychiatric care to continue functioning.

But if you are a true masochist, you can pre-order now and get into the beta as we are putting together the game mechanics and help mold the final game.

I can't help it. Nothing better than going home after a hard day's work and cracking open a cold one.

Erm

Replying to dead threads.

Actually I did the same... pre-ordered just to find out that beta seemed to be closed for new buyers

There was no real info regarding it and I just saw "Beta" "Buy and join beta" "Beta phase four". This was the only place I found the deadline bits. But it's okay. I purchased and the game comes out this month I believe.

Sometimes Necromancing a thread is useful, but strager necromanced a thread which was not useful at all.  Just so he doesn't make the same mistake in the future here's another example of good and bad necromancing when it comes to a game:

Good Necromancing: Necromancing an ancient dragon to create a dracolich.

Bad Necromancing: Necromancing a termite..........

I did too. That's quite frustrating. Because I could've easily waited until the 24th to order the game, but I was interested in trying out the beta that I've seen so many times. Now I'm just pissed. Maybe Stardock - or who knows - should put something on the pre-order area about the beta and if it's actually playable at the time of pre-order... or IN THE FORUMS maybe?

Kinda your own fault for not noticing that the idiot who necro'd this thread was jerking your chain. That being said all isn't lost for your preorder. Brad posted today that the beta testers AND the preorders might get the gold version a few days early before the day 0 patch hits on the 24th.
