So , i just updated Iconpackager through SDC, Now Im back to the old Interface , Was Sup

Same here (version 3.99.143), and even after uninstall previous version , reboot etc ... still the old UI ...

Really wonder what's wrong with IP ...

I think Impulse really needs a sort by date option and a details view option (like SDC)

Just bought it yesterday morning.... There are a few glitches that remain right on top.. however, I'll leave that up to sending it off to the support team instead of wasting space here. I like the look and feel of it.. like I mentioned before, Stardock's UI for their programs is IMHO, simple..easy to use. The way all programs should reach for.

Well, it'd be helpful if Impulse actually worked... and/or gave hints about the issues it sees when it doesn't work, and what the end user could try to do to get it to work. To me, this entire thing looks like a bunch of eye candy, and a dumbed-down user interface from what USED to be a very useful, and (at least to me) easy to use application - Stardock Central (aptly named, as the central application which to run to download/install/uninstall/update/run everything produced by Stardock). Heck, I still like the absolute simplicity of Component Manager, and still run that on my Win2000 Server - as that's the only app which still lets me install SmartIP. Please stop following Microsoft's lead in changing the UI of an application and making it "easier to use for the end user" but in fact just hides way too many options and makes it even MORE confusing for anyone to use (e.g. the newer Control Panel views in recent Windows OS's). Don't pretty things up solely to make them pretty - give me a simple list of applications which I can download, and let me download them.

Impulse is targeted to a wider audience beyond Stardock apps.

For new users, Impulse will be much easier to use.

MS has made changes to their UI based on more money than you and I will ever see.  Copying them makes good sense.    But as always, Stardock will improve on what MS has done.

Ok..... now after running thru the apps listed again that come with OD 2008, one thing is missing people!!! Where's Cursor FX???

Where's Cursor FX???
I see the plus version.

Where's Cursor FX???

CursorFX (and it's predecessor, CursorXP, and it's predecessor, CursorEx) is, and has always been, a separate program - NOT part of Object Desktop.

Ok.... I'll accept that. Guess I'll have to get CursorFX as well. When we bought OD, I must have ran thru the list too quick and thought that I'd seen C-FX as part of the package.

COOL!!!...

Yes IP is not fully Vista x64 ready but the current release is working on my x64 machine, tho the interface is from the old build..

With respect to your comment about MS, I have only two words: Microsoft Bob Let's not forget that MS is where they are because throughout their history, especially in their infancy, they stole ideas from other companies and released these "new" products as "innovative." Their own ideas (such as WindowsCE) have not always been good ones. Stardock is where they are because they are truly innovative and because they listen to their user base. Although I don't agree with everything that OpusCroakus said, Stardock Central has always worked. It may be time to phase it out in favor of Impulse, but don't discount our feedback or the direction Stardock is taking could be towards a dead end. ***** The editor hates me today. It's not including my hard returns!

It's been since the latest version is out i'm telling about that point (and it's not only with vista X64, it's the same on XP ...   ) and no one seems to care of that ...

I am having trouble upating IP through Impulse. It says there is an update available but when I try to download, it says my serial number is invalid. I can update other programs fine. I am na OD suscriber and Impulse has me as an OD Ultimate subscriber, so I would thnk everythig would work, but it does not. Any clues?
