just so folks know, on XP i opened the cur XP config and ticked the "disable all" box then hit apply.. then opened up Cur FX config and applied the theme set i wanted and it ran fine... also copy all your themes over to the curFX themes folder in shared/stardock/curFX/themes directory and your fave cursor themes will be loaded..

It would cool if CursorFX linked into SD virtual desktops. I.e. You could have define a desktop with all the skinning and fancy cursors for general work and have a separate desktop with default Windows cursor and no skinning for work on serious apps like photoshop.

Oooo . . that would be cool!

That would set SD Virtual Desktop apart from anything else on the market. Theme based Desktops would rock.

Update: I have just received word that this problem has been fixed by the web team.

There is a problem with a select few accounts when using the form here:
https://www.stardock.com/products/cursorfx/upgrade.asp
to qualify for an upgrade. The web team is addressing this problem.

If you are for some reason still experiencing a problem with this, please either let us know here, or send an email in to [email protected]

Sorry for the trouble!

I don't care how serious things get, I never use default windows cursor.
on Dec 18, 2007
I find that the hand curser starts out as the default Windows curser for a few seconds and then displays the correct curser for the theme that is loaded.
This happens for all curser theme sets. It bothered me enough to reload CurserXP. (

What happens when you double-click on a pack?
After that, close and reopen and try again using the "apply" button.

I like how when I double-click on something there is a "spark" left behind.  Very cool.

Since I can't use this program (not enough RAM). When someone makes a cursor using CursorFX, will I be able to use it with CursorXP?
